What kind of math needs to be done at the Olympic? Do we need to find out what's the length of the track? Do we need to measure it by estimate or precise answer? Can time impact some sports? In this unit, we researched what measurement needs to be done in the Olympic and why is relevant. These are the things we inquired about.

What Did I Learn
After this unit, I have learned that every Olympic sport needs to be measured in specific ways or else it will influence the Olympic into a complete mass. For example, in Speed Skating, the player who got the fastest record will win the gold medal. However, if you don't calculate the time properly, the ranking will be a complete mess and it wouldn't be fair for players who tried their best to win.
What Surprised Me
In this unit, there were lots of things that was surprising. For example, when I compared the time record between skeleton and bobsleigh, I thought skeleton will have the faster record due to its lightness. However, as I inquired through, it turned out that bobsleigh was faster because as it goes down the ramp, the heavier it is, the more energy from the gravity will pull it down which creates more speed.
What Did I learn about Myself
In this unit, I didn't just learn about measurements, I learned about myself too. The thing that I learned about myself is that as I find new things, I always try to inquire it through and solve the answer to the problem by organizing the facts I have got.
However, I'm not perfect yet due to not figuring out the precise answer of the problem. For example, when I was measuring the time record of short track speed skaters and finding out the total time, I thought I can just add it all by converting it into seconds and convert it again to minutes by dividing 60, but it turns out it wasn't precise, so I needed to add it all over again to find the correct the answer.
For the conclusion, I hope I have understand how does measurement inspire us to create something just like the Olympics.
